Meaningful Modern Ceremony
marking life’s rites of passage
Juliette Morton is an independent, certified secular celebrant. She creates meaningful and relaxed modern ceremonies to mark life’s rites of passage.
Whether it’s a wedding, vow renewal, naming ceremony , funeral or life celebration, Juliette’s job is to bring tradition and innovation together to create moments that feel effortless, elegant and profoundly personal.
Couples and families choose Juliette for bespoke ceremonies that are beautifully crafted and deeply resonant. As a writer and ritual‑maker, she brings a rare blend of creativity, calm presence, and attentive listening to every milestone. Think of Juliette as less of a 'performer' of ceremonies, than a 'holder' of them - a steady pair of hands who works with style and grace to ensure that everything runs smoothly, leaving guests with the feeling that they've just experienced something very special.
Holding space in this way is a natural expansion of Juliette’s work as an award-winning writer.

She is particularly interested in supporting women who want to create rituals to honour their transition through midlife and heartfelt acknowledgments of loss, such as miscarriage or the end of a relationship.
These ceremonies provide a space to celebrate, reflect, heal, and move forward with joy, dignity and style.

Juliette meets loved ones wherever they are in their grief, proceeding with sensitivity and gentleness to discover the life story of the person who has died. She brings warmth, dignity and the rare ability to hold what can be a very moving space in such a way that mourners feel able to express their grief, find solace, time for reflection and the opportunity to say a fitting farewell.
An initial conversation is a chance to ask any immediate questions and share information. This is followed by a consultation, usually in person at the family home or other venue of choice, when she finds out more about who has died, their story, their passions, any wishes they may have had for their funeral, explore any readings and music to be included. The ceremony will be created in full consultation with the family and be available for discussion at any time.
